Pratima Rao, a gifted artist who has work in plein-air oil painting in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, India, and Europe, share her insights on how to approach the construction of a painting when working on site.

Fifteen of our members participated in a "creative painting" contest based on a still-life set-up at our Sept. meeting. Artist Pratima Rao was the judge and Pres. Robert D'Imperio was the winner of a cash award. Prize was donated by members attending. Half the money went to our scholarship fund.

Members were treated to a lecture and demonstration of techniques used in "pointillism in oil painting"

"Boats and Harbors Watercolor Workshop" Bob is a master artist who has won many awards and has been featured in many artist magazines. The membership was awe of his work and enjoyed every minute of the workshop experience.

"Watercolor on Yupo Paper" Lisa's work has appeared in dozens of publication and watching the progression of her painting is alway amazing.

"Paper Mache Art" Bea was able to transform one of the simplest artistic processes into impressive works of art.

“Source to Studio” Oil Painting Techniques. Valerie demonstrated how one cantake a small quick study done in the field (en plein air) and interpret it into a larger studio painting.
